2019 Daffodil Festival, Saturday, April 6th & Sunday, April 7th - The 33rd Annual Daffodil Festival. This annual festival is a celebration of spring and a Gloucester County tradition since 1987. The Daffodil Festival Committee invites you to come and enjoy this true community event. Watch the parade. Meet the Daffodil Festival Queen and the scholarship winner. Yorktown's Civil War Weekend, Saturday, April 13th & Sunday, April 14th - Military demonstrations, encampments, and tours interpret the role Yorktown played during the 1862 Peninsula Campaign.

Pirates Invade Yorktown, Saturday, April 27th & Sunday, April 28th - Step back into the Golden Age of Piracy as Riverwalk Landing and the Watermen's Museum are invaded by seafaring marauders. There will be hands-on activities, and a treasure hunt for the kids. Explore pirate encampment, attend pirate school, and witness a pirate trial! Sing along with sea shanties and don’t miss the exciting cannon demonstrations. You can even sail the stormy waters of the York River on the Schooner Alliance, with Captain Mayhem who’s always looking for pint-sized recruits to join his crew.
