LEAD CARPENTER! (FULL TIME)

We are seeking a TALENTED LEADER to join our team!

There is little that we subcontract out therefore it is imperative that you have extensive experience performing and overseeing various construction tasks. Quality is everything!

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of diverse carpentry experience

  • Customer service oriented

  • Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • A desire to continue your learning

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Willing to undergo a background check and drug test

  • Own a truck or van

  • Have a valid and clean driver’s license

  • Must supply your own basic tools (we will supplement!)

  • Solid knowledge of the various trades involved in construction

  • Ability to lift and carry 500+ lbs

JOB DUTIES:

  • Will directly report on a daily basis to our Class A Contractor and a times work side by side

  • Read and interpret construction documents with accuracy

  • Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly and professionally

  • Ability to LEAD a crew by delegating tasks and teaching them additional skills to help them advance

  • Material takeoffs and ordering (on occasion)

  • Ensure carpenter's apprentice has prepared and stocked the job site for a smooth and efficient workflow

  • Responsible for:

    • leading a crew of at least 2-3

    • performing building layout

    • excavating and pouring footings

    • framing (including roofs as WE DO NOT USE trusses)

    • install interior trim (and occasionally crafting built-ins)

    • roofing (Mostly repair work as we typically sub out roofing)

    • flooring (including tile work)

    • painting (On occasion)

    • drywall (Hanging and finishing for smaller projects/repair work. We sub out drywall larger projects)

    • siding and exterior trim work including metal work

    • installation of composite materials (exterior trim, decking,etc)

  • Prep for and oversee building Inspections

BONUS EXPERIENCE:

  • Estimating

  • Up to date Building Code Knowledge

PAY

  • Competitive and will commensurate with experience
